The Playoff Picture…

So Chris, Jim and Jones have locked up 3/6 playoff spots – so fuck them. Let’s talk about who is gonna get those last three spots…

Kyle and Cork are out for the big dance, and will have to focus on the toilet bowl. That leaves 7 guys fighting it out for the last openings. Let’s start with the least likely scenerio;

DAVE #4 MAKES A RUN!

In order for Dave to make the post-season, he needs to win his last two games, obviously. His opponents are Jim and Ryan. If he can beat both of them, then his best pathway is for Kronner to beat Trigger, for Trigger to lose again in W14 (vs Tan), and for Dave to make up a 550 point scoring deficit. Additionally, he need Mark, Josh and Matt to all lose at least one more game, his best being that Matt loses each of the last two.

MARK AND JOSH SNEAK IN

QAnon and the Sentinels are both longshots, but still alive. They both need to win out, and then for Trigger and Kronner to lose at least one more game (preferably both), and the same for Matt unless they can really catch up in the scoring over the next two weeks. Josh’s schedule is more forgiving, as he’ll play Air Bud this week, and then Jones’ fraudulent 9-3 team next week. If he can pull out of his 6 game slide, he could sneak in. As for Mark, his road is rougher, as he’ll play Second Deck, who is also fighting to get it, and then against the #1 offense in the league.

SECONDECK!

Matt has the same record as Mark and Josh, but owns a near 1300 point scoring lead. His remaining games come against Mark and Kronner, so winning out also hands losses to some of this closest competitors. He will need to win both games obviously, and needs Trigger to lose at least one, or Kronner to lose out.

TRIGGER EFFECT

To Dooku his way into a postseason spot, and keep his chances to repeat alive, Trigger most likely needs to win at least one game, with the matchup against Kronner being the more important of the last two. Winning both games puts him at 8-6 and would lock up a spot. If he doesn’t win out, then he’ll need some help – if his loses to Kronner, then he’ll need Matt to lose out.

MacGRUBER THORAT RIP

Kronner has a scoring lead to lean on here as he falls into his annual ‘late-season collapse and back into the playoffs’ routine. A win against the reigning championship Dutchmen likely wraps up a playoff spot (though not officially). Winning both games will lock up a spot, but losing both doesn’t totally eliminate the chance of success, but would requite Matt, Josh and Mark to all drop at least one game.

THE BURRITO RESURGENCE

Ryan’s horseshit roster (2nd worst offense in the league) has an extremely fortunate remaining schedule, facing Dave and Kyle in the last two weeks. If he can win either of those games, he’s locked in a spot. If he wins both, he locks into the 4 seed. Should he lose both, he’ll need some help, but is in good shape.
