Coaching Errors After Week 8

The Coaching Loss rate is the highest we’ve ever had to this point. We’ve seen lots of close games this year, and the parity in the league has never been more obvious. Five teams are currently 3-5, and another four teams sit at 5-3. Even Kyle’s 1-7 start hasn’t officially eliminated him from the playoff hunt. Further feeding into the parity this season was Week 8’s Dump of the Week being 1709 – in many weeks, that could get you a win.

Coaching Losses
Year Losses Weeks %
2019 10 13 12.82%
2020 4 13 5.13%
2021 12 14 14.29%
2022 15 14 17.86%
2023 17 14 20.24%
2024 11 8 22.92%

Cork has an astounding 3 coaching losses to date, meaning he could just as easily be 6-2 rather than 3-5. A game of inches…

Here we see Trigger’s complete and utter lack of bench depth continue to make him look like a coaching genius!

Rank Prev Coach Loss 50-99 100-199 200-299 300+ Total Points
1 1 Trigger 3 1 4 5
2 2 Chris 6 3 9 12
3 3 Kaiser 5 4 2 11 19
4 7 Josh 1 3 6 9 28
5 6 Ryan 1 2 5 1 8 29
6 8 Matt 1 5 6 11 30
7 9 Jim 1 5 5 1 11 31
8 10 Kronner 1 4 6 2 12 35
9 4 Kyle 1 4 9 1 14 38
10 4 Jones 1 4 6 2 1 13 39
11 11 Dave 2 5 5 1 11 45
12 12 Cork 3 5 8 3 16 69

Against all odds, Kronner has now started the wrong QB in all eight games, which seems statistically hard to do.

Cork’s year here, is on pace to crush Jon’s 2023 record on 7.3 ppg. Pretty impressive for a rookie.

Dave 2019 51 13 3.92

Jones 2022 81 14 5.79
