Changes for 2024: Part Three – 2nd Roster Spot Poll

We didn’t clear much up with that last poll, so let’s try again. For more details on the proposals, you can check back on them BY CLICKING HERE (not porn).

So the stuff that recieved multiple votes last time around will be repeated on this poll, as well as a couple of new proposals that weren’t there last time. First, the stuff that was eliminated last round;

  • Add an additional spot for Superflex
  • Add 2nd Kicker (shocking)
  • Replace TE with Superflex
  • Eliminate TE altogether

That means the stuff that got at least 2 votes, and will move onto the 2nd poll is;

  • Replace 1 D spot with a Team D spot
  • Replace TE with 2nd Flex
  • Eliminate the K Spot
  • Replace FLEX with Superflex

New proposals include…

Eliminate 2 Bench Spots – This is pretty self-explanatory. We shorten the bench by two spots, shortening the draft, and preserving more talent (presumably) on the waiver wire.

The argument for this is it should be easier to pick up guys to replace injured players, etc.

The argument against it is that it rewards those who didn’t plan ahead as well, or had the least depth on their squad. Historically, the teams at the bottom have first dibs on good FAs, in a generic attempt at parity. This would however be mitigated if we change from traditional waivers to a FAB system (more on that at a later date).

Eliminate 1 Bench Spot, Add a Third IR Spot – This is exactly what it sounds like. It is probably a good compramise between the “Kill 2 Bench Spots” and “Leave the Roster Size Alone” crowds – we aim to please!

So, like last time, you can vote for multiple options if you want.
