THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL BIIIIIIITCH!!

With the new NFL season kicking off tomorrow night, that means we’re back in action. I thought we’d take a quick minute to see which players will be focused – and since this isn’t a traditional Jags v. Jets TNF matchup, there should be plenty.

TNF kicks off this year with the Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Lions Rams are hosting what is arguably the AFC’s most dangerous team – the Buffalo Bills. That means lots of relevant players to root for/against.

Here are the relevant names;

Sc4_Skippers vs. SECOND DECK

League champion SECOND DECK Sc4_Skippers appear in a rematch of last year’s title game when Yahoo ripped the heart from the chest of Matt and handed it to Jones to eat in a Dothraki-like ceremony resulting in an Alley-Blood soaked Platinum jacket.

Jon has at least 3 players in this game (and an empty DB slot that could be anyone), and additionally has Devin Singletary on his bench. Matt is rocking a 1-man squad with Dawson Knox.

So it’ll (likely) be Stefon Diggs, Tyler Higbee and Kicker Matt Gay, facing off against the Buffalo TE. This gives Jon a near lock to carry a heavy lead into Sunday, however, Yahoo is still heavily favoring SECOND DECK for the win.

Yahoo Projection for TNF
Skippers – 357
S. DECK – 82

C Tan vs. The World vs. Kaiser

This is a big one for CTan, as he’s carrying the highest-priced QB in the league ($45) with the Bills’ Josh Allen. Coincidently, Kaiser has the 2nd most expensive QB in Herbert ($40). On the other sideline, the commish also has Rams RB Cam Akers as his RB1. On his bench is Bills rookie James Cook.

Coming from the Texas delegation, Kaiser is opting to sit out TNF (barring a lineup change), as he’s still got Buffalo DE Rousseau on his bench.

Again, this is gonna be a lopsided score headed into Sunday, but the Yahoo projections are only giving Chris a slight edge, and things likely even out and come down to MNF.

Yahoo Projection for TNF
C TAN – 484
Kaiser – 0

Mallrats vs. TIMMO the Bronze

The Mallrats somehow have no Rams or Bills, not even on the bench. So tomorrow night I’ll simply be rooting for Gabe Davis to get some severe diarrhea right before kickoff.

Davis is Timmo’s WR2 and a guy who I was also targeting in the draft. Kid is primed for a breakout year, and probably gonna be good for at least 10 TDs this year. That shit can start next week. Current projections HEAVILY favor Timmo, the Mallrats have the 2nd lowest score projection in the league.

Yahoo Projection for TNF
Mallrats – 0
Timmo – 108

Burrito Warrior vs MC Quasars

Here’s a real exciting one – The Big Burrito will put out 3 defenders; Ramsey, Hyde and Aaron Donald. The Quasars, much like the Mallrats, don’t have a single player to watch.

The current Yahoo projections are predicting a close one, with the Quasars eeking it out by 63 points. We’ll see if Ryan’s defense can tip the scales with some big prime-time performances and outscore their combined projected-point total.

Yahoo Projection for TNF
Burritos – 310
Quasars – 0

Dutchmen vs. Tim Brady’s

This game features two future HOF LBs joining new teams – this season projected LB1 Bobby Wagner in his first game with the Rams, and former Bronco (& Ram) Von Miller. For our purposes though, Miller is riding the pine for Team Brady. So it’ll be Wagner vs. Allen Robinson III, Tremaine Edmunds, Jordan Poyer, and Buffalo kicker Tyler Bass.

If Trigger somehow comes away with a lead after tomorrow night, you can probably call this one in the books. Currently, the projections are real close in what Yahoo thinks will be the highest-scoring matchup of Week 1.

Yahoo Projection for TNF
Dutchmen – 124
Bradys – 510

Sir this is a Wendys vs. Sentinels

While Yahoo expects the Trigger v. Kyle match to be the highest scoring in the league, they expect this one to be the lowest. And while it could end that way, it’s got the potential to end up with the most total points after TNF.

The Sentinels are only starting one guy – but that one guy is record-setting WR Cooper Kupp. While a repeat of his 2021 production isn’t likely, he is still expected to be one of the 3 best pass catchers in the league this year.

For Team Wendys, Dave is rolling out 3 guys – Matthew Stafford, Taylor Rapp, and Matt Milano. Additionally, left on the bench to cover the Frosty Machine, Dave also has Rams RB Darrell Henderson Jr.

Overall, Yahoo is prediction Dave to pick up where he left off last year – in the lead for Dump of the Week.

Yahoo Projection for TNF
Wendys – 562
Sentinels – 167
