So with all the discussion about IDP scoring, Tan and I looked at some numbers last night. Let me start by saying I’m totally fine with our current scoring, BUT it does lean heavily in favor of LBs, even more than it did in years past apparently. So the idea here, if we choose to make a change, is to balance the IDPs a little bit more.
These proposed changes will still leave LB as the most valuable (on average) IDP position but lessens the gap, slightly decreases DB value, and increases average DL values. It put more emphasis on “impact plays” and less on assisted tackles.
