2021 Best Positional Coach: Defensive Line Edition

Shout out to the Champ for helping with the numbers here, which are quite a bit better than they were in 2020, and not just because of the 14th game. Last year our high score was 1750 from Jones, who was also the only team over 1450 points. This year we got 6 of those.

The winner though, with 1900 points, good for a whopping 135 points per game at the DL spot, is the Mexico City Madman.

Sanchez also holds the highest single-game score from the DL spot when Myles Garrett dropped 395 points in route to 4.5 sacks against the Bears.

Team DL
1 Steve 1900
2 Tan 1710
3 Trigger 1585
4 Josh 1535
5 Kaiser 1485
6 Jones 1470
7 Matt 1280
8 Kronner 1245
9 Kyle 1195
10 Timmy 1090
11 Ryan 1045
12 Dave 970
Avg. Totals 1375.8

And for (at least) the second year in a row, Dave brings up the caboose as the only team to finish sub-1000 this year, averaging a paltry 69 points per game.

Chris finished 2nd this year, though maybe he should have been higher seeing as he had both Aaron Donald and Nick Bosa on his team – who finished 2 and 3 respectively among DL scores for the year. They are, along with Cam Heyward (1st) and Myles Garrett (4th) the only players at the position to break 2000 this year.
