Below is a look back at our first auction draft, and the reveal of who won the “Best Draft” status for this year. The way that I figured things was to take the total number of points scored by the players drafted, regardless of how long they stayed on your team. I also included the value of each pick – so how many points you got per dollar spent. There were 4 teams that had money left over at the end of the draft (Jones – $16, Timmy – $7, Tan – $6, Sanchez – $5) which helped them in the Points Per $ stat.
Let’s just start with the raw numbers.
| MANAGER | Total Points | Points Per $ |
| Jones | 46723 | 168.6 |
| Tan | 42025 | 146.4 |
| Kronner | 41830 | 142.7 |
| Josh | 38285 | 130.6 |
| Kaiser | 38292 | 130.6 |
| Sanchez | 37601 | 130.5 |
| Timmy | 36003 | 125.8 |
| Kyle | 35575 | 121.4 |
| Ryan | 35482 | 121 |
| Dave | 30700 | 104.7 |
| Trigger | 29539 | 100.8 |
| Matt | 28543 | 97.4 |
I have to say, I didn’t expect that our new league champ would finish dead last on draft night – and beat the team that had the most points in the final. But Matt can thank Henry Ruggs, J.K. Dobbins, and Michael Thomas for dragging him down here. Jon’s PP$ number is helped by how frugal he was on draft night, but it’s all that much more impressive he was able to score such high a total while spending the least of anyone.
For everyone else, let’s take a look at some of the best and worst picks in the draft, based on value and production. So for this, to qualify, the player must rank among players drafted as a starter (ie; QB – top 12, RB – top 24, etc)
QUARTERBACK
Tim edges out Josh here only cause he started Cousins all year, while Carr mostly rode the pine.

And given the price tag ($81), it’s not surprising that Trigger got so little a return with Mahomes’ 68 PP$.
| RANK | GM | QB | PP$ |
| 1 | Tim | K. Cousins | 4662 |
| 1 | Josh | D. Carr | 4662 |

| 12 | Trigger | P. Mahomes | 68.1 |
RUNNING BACKS
Ryan spent a lot of cheddar on Barkley and Zeke, and while Zeke gave an ok return, Barkley didn’t make the Top 24. However, he got real good returns for his investments on James Conner and Melvin Gordon III.

WIDE RECEIVERS
Unlike the RBs, there were quite a few WRs that really paid off big. Deebo being far and away the best of them. There were also a lot of Rookies that came through here, with St. Brown, Smith, and Chase all finishing in the Top 7 here.

TIGHT ENDS
Kelce, Kittle, Waller, Pitts, and Hock all underperformed for the year, while Mark Andrews was surprisingly dominant in an offense not known for throwing the ball. It was Jared Cook though that returned the highest PP$.
| RANK | GM | TE | PP$ |
| 1 | Josh | J. Cook | 994 |
| 2 | Tan | M. Gesicki | 649 |
| 3 | Kaiser | D. Goedert | 450 |

| 11 | Ryan | D. Waller | 30.2 |
| 12 | Timmy | T. Kelce | 28.8 |
KICKERS
Probably the hardest position to draft, only a couple of these guys made it through the whole year on the team that drafted them. Sanchez’s strategy of drafting two kickers didn’t exactly pay off here either.
| RANK | GM | K | PP$ |
| 1 | Trigger | D. Carlson | 2470 |
| 2 | Kaiser | M. Gay | 2415 |

| 11 | Dave | R. Gould | 376.2 |
| 12 | Sanchez | Y. Koo | 309.8 |
DEFENSIVE LINEMEN
Trigger didn’t keep Wilkins, but he replaced him with the undrafted Cam Heyward, who finished as #1 DL in the league this year, so still a great value. Sanchez takes another L here, having draft 4 DL, and none of them finishing in the Top 8.
| RANK | GM | DL | PP$ |

| 12 | Sanchez | N. Suh | 102.5 |

DEFENSIVE BACKS
A lot of parody in the Top 4 here shows none of us knew what we were doing here. The four best DBs this year all went for $1. Kronner won’t be repeating his DB strategy next year given the value he got from Chinn and Adams…
| RANK | GM | DB | PP$ |
| 1 | Tan | K. Byard | 2310 |
| 1 | Ryan | H. Smith | 2310 |
| 3 | Ryan | K. Moore | 2300 |

LINEBACKERS
This proved it was much harder to draft a great LB for $1 than it was to grab a DB.

| 22 | Jones | P. Queen | 99.4 |
| 23 | Kyle | D. White | 79.5 |
| 24 | Tan | D. Leonard | 65.3 |

So there you have it. Jones not only won the title while making 72 roster moves but also already had the best team on Draft Night. A dominating year from the Skippers.
