Team Kaiser, our second most recent League Champ, is off to a historic start. Despite being a two-time champion (2012, 2019), Mark has never started 5-0 before.

So why is Mark undefeated more than a month into the season? Well, a favorable schedule hasn’t hurt, but there have also been some shrewd roster moves.
THE DRAFT
This is where it starts. His first move was to drop $70 on Tyreek Hill, who has been up and down this season but is still averaging almost 200 points per game. Then, next, he dropped $67 on Austin Ekeler, who is 2nd among all RBs with 203 ppg. That pick now seems like a steal considering CMac went for $83 and has only played 9 quarters of football so far. Then you add in Lamar Jackson ($30), who currently sits in 2nd on the QB scoring list despite 5 other QBs going for more in the draft. Add in a $4 bid to win Jalen Hurts, and he’s got one of the better duos in the league.

THE TRADE
But it’s not just about who he kept – Amari Cooper, Kyle Pitts, etc, – it’s also about what he turned some of those picks into. After spending $12 on Eric Kendricks, he was able to flip the LB to the Mallrats for Hollywood Brown, who is currently WR5 at 191 ppg. By year’s end, Hill, Brown, and Cooper could make a run at that Best WR Trio Title.
THE PICKUPS
Additionally, before the season even began, he made two key upgrades to his defense – De’Vondre Campbell (204 ppg) and Haason Reddick (151 ppg) – and then following week two, he added Dallas Cowboy CB Trevon Diggs (200 ppg), the DB1.

So where does he go from here? Week Six will see the toughest challenge to his undefeated status – the Washington Sentinels. In what is sure to be the matchup of the week, Kaiser, who leads the league in Points For following his 2800 points week five outing, will play Josh, who is right behind him in the Points For rankings. They are the only two teams to crack the 11,000 point mark thus far. To this point, Mark has faced only one opponent who scored over 2000 points (Timmo in Week One), but that streak is sure to end come the weekend.
