While Yahoo doesn’t have the banner up there (did I do that? forget to click something?), and there is no official designation, this is a rivalry kind of week. We have the two highest-scoring teams (Kaiser and Josh) squaring off, Kronner vs. Dave, and Jones vs. Trigger. BUT WAIT! There’s more! SECOND DECK, who has been calling for the Commish to be replaced for a couple seasons now will face off with, you guessed Frank Stallone C Tan! Then you get Mexico City vs Burrito Warrior in a battle at the bottom, Ryan looking to drag himself out of the pit and Sanchez trying to distance himself from his slow start. And finally, after the Mexican Food Cookoff, we have the battle of the Tims! The fake Tim (Kyle) takes on the tim Tim (Timmo).
Let’s break it down!
Mexico City Quasars vs. Burrito Warrior
This is the FIRST EVER Matchup between Ryan and Steve, mostly because Steve actually entered the league (along with John Sanchez) to replace Ryan (and Byrd). Ryan took a few years off to recover from his 2-11 season in 2015, so far it’s been a slow recovery. Of course, Steve went on to win the championship in his first season (2016), but this season hasn’t started the way he’d hoped so far either. Through five weeks, Burrito Warrior has scored more points than the Quasars, but he’s also had more scored against him. Despite lots of time left for both teams, this could be a big game. A 1-5 start would be brutal to recover from, while a 3-3 record gets Steve right back into things. Should the Burritos be successful, then we’ll see both teams sitting at 2-4. In fact, there is a chance that come Tuesday, we could have as many as six different teams at 2-4, and that would create quite the race for the playoffs.
Players to Watch
Burrito – Matthew Stafford vs. an injury-riddled Giants Defense
Quasar – Davante Adams coming off his best game of the year (11/206/1).

Sc4_Skippers vs. Flying Dutchmen
One of the two ‘original 6’ matchups this week sees Jones face-off with Trigger in a battle of the leagues winningest manager (the Wayne Fontes if you will) and the league’s losingest manager (also, Wayne Fontes), in what is projected to be a bit of David vs. Goliath match. As it currently stands, Yahoo’s super accurate projections give the Skippers a 488 point lead. No other match has even a 150 point advantage projected. Now Trigger’s bad fortune COULD actually turn this week if
Christian McCaffrey suits up and survives a whole game.
Players to Watch
Skips – Ja’Marr Chase, who is having a monster season already, vs. The Lions.
Dutch – Z. Cunningham seems due for a big game – is he in the doghouse?
The Red Bank Mallrats vs. The BF3000s
While Kronner wasn’t part of the inaugural 2000 season, these two teams have been battling it out for 20 years now, with Dave taking both of their two playoff matchups (2008, 2012), and holding a slight edge in the all-time series 12-11. That said, the Mallrats have taken the last six after Nacho Team had taken seven straight from 2010-2016. From 2002-2016 these teams met with any in-season rematches, and this will be their only regular-season match this season as well. We’ll see if five waiver pickup from this morning (Amon-Ra St. Brown, Mason Crosby, Keanu Neal, Greg Rousseau, & Darrel Williams) can stop the bleeding after delivering Dump of the Week three games in a row.
Players to Watch
Mallrats – Jeremy Chinn was a monster in 2020, and is due for a big week…or waivers.
BF3000 – Darrel Williams just became the starter in KC, could be huge.

The Tim Brady’s vs. TIMMO!
It’s Michigan vs. Michigan State with Brady vs. Cousins, it’s Browns RB vs Browns RB, it’s Yahoo’s projection that both teams will be 3-3 by Tuesday! Kyle has put up a solid 3-2 record, thus far and sits in 4th place. And he only needed 4 roster moves since the draft to get there. McLeod on the other hand just picked up a Lions defender this morning! Kyle’s team has leaned on a balanced attack, while Timmy has relied upon elite TE, K, and LB play – and both teams have seen their QB exceed expectations early in the year. This is really one of the tighter matchups of the week.
Players to Watch
Tim – Devin White hasn’t had a breakout game yet, and TNF might be his chance.
Tim – Kareem Hunt should be heavily involved in the passing attack vs the Cards.

SECOND DECK vs. C Tan vs. The World
In the second of our two Original Six matchups, we see Matt and Chris duke it out. Matt, who has the fourth-fewest points scored thus far, but has faced the weakest opposition is sitting pretty in 2nd place at 4-1. Chris has had less luck, he’s middle of the pack in points scored, but has played the second hardest competition. Chris is without C. Patterson this week (BYE), and Matt should have Dalvin Cook back, but Yahoo is still projecting a win for C Tan. Maybe it’s time for Josh Allen to drop 600 on MNF? With Kyler Murray facing Cleveland, Matt is looking for a bounce-back game and lots of looks for Rondale Moore.
Players to Watch
Deck – Hunter Henry’s point total has gone up every game so far.
World – Cooper Kupp will look to get back to his early-season numbers vs. the Giants

Team Kaiser vs. The Washington Sentinels
Team Kaiser (who refuses to change his name, and why would he, he’s fucking 5-0) sits atop the standings, but this week will see him face his toughest matchup in Josh’s Sentinels, a team that was second in scoring last week (behind only Kaiser) with over 2700 points. The Sentinels also had the highest score in the league back in week two, so this is a team capable of exploding at any time. Yahoo is favoring Kaiser by 108 as of this writing, but this projection also have every one of Josh’s players (aside from QB) projected to score under 200. Derrick Henry might have something to say about that. In fact, they’ve only got three of his players over 150 (Rodgers, Henry, Perryman). On the Texas side of the ledger, Mark’s offense has been rolling. Lamar and Hollywood combined for nearly 1000 points on MNF, and Ekeler (RB2) and Hill (WR3) are living up to their draft value. This should be a shootout. Even with Kyle Pitts, Deebo Samuel, and Alvin Kamara all on Bye Weeks.
Players to Watch
Kaiser – Can Zach Ertz remember how to play football?
Sentinels – Can Dawson Knox continue to dominate?
