3-Week Recap! Kaiser, the Kregers and Injuries Aplenty

Well, we’re three weeks in and there is a lot of parity. If not for a Pick-6 by Trevon Diggs on MNF, Tansuche might have pulled out a win over Kaiser’s stupidly named team, and we could be looking at 11 of the 12 teams in the league separated by only one game in the standings. Instead, we have 10 teams a game apart, with Kaiser at 3-0, and the Burrito Warrior dragging ass at 0-3.

So what got us here? Who looks like a fantasy wizard, and who’s getting bent over by the injury bug? Let’s do a quick rundown…

Wait, we’re 3 weeks in already?

He Who’s Name Must Not Be Spoken

How the shit is this rag-tag team undefeated? Well, in week three against C Tan it was all about the Defense, since Mork had six players on the scoring side of the ball all finish under 100 points each, while on D, he had four guys score at least 220. But what about the first two weeks?

Week One’s hard-fought victory over TIMMO!’s (now) 2nd place squad was all about the wideouts. Kaiser got 659 points from his trio (with Sutton scoring only 19), vs Timmy producing only 172 from his trio (including a goose-egg from Aiyuk). Week Two saw Kaiser eek one out undeservedly over the Burrito Warrior in a battle of who wants it less. Kaiser’s 1864-1757 win was powered by the only four players who showed up – Lamar (421), Sutton (214), Ekeler (195), and Dan Campbell De’Vondre Campbell (310).

Congrats on your stupid undefeated record. I hope you and your mascot are happy together.

The Washington Sentinels are Bi-Polar

The early return of the Kregers to the league has been a little bumpy. While Ryan is sitting squarely in 12th place at 0-3, big brother Josh is a little less consistent.

Let’s take a look at his first three weeks;

Week 1 – 1469
Week 2 – 2651
Week 3 – 1926

When the only player on your team to break 200 is a DB, and your QB doesn’t crack 80, it’s hard to get that W. So when week one’s worst team turned it around in with the highest score in the league, it seemed like an unfortunate fluke. But then in week three, with over 400 points from his QB, the Sentinels still failed to breach the 2000 point threshold.

This team is all over the place.

It’s just growing pains. We’ll get on track.

Scoring Average vs. Record

As per usual, the scoring averages and the records are not in sync. Trigger, who has a healthy lead for the best scoring average, and currently sits in 7th place, is forced to look up at Dave, who is ahead of him in the 6 spot. And Dave has scored more than 1000 points fewer than the Dutchmen so far. Or Kaiser having scored 1 point less than Jones, but sitting three spots higher in the standings.

Here is the scoring average through three weeks.

TEAM TOTAL POINTS FOR AVERAGE SCORE STANDINGS
Trigger 6975 2325 7
Timbo 6746 2249 2
Chris 6602 2201 8
Kyle 6448 2149 3
Jones 6291 2097 4
Kaiser 6290 2097 1
Kronner 6228 2076 9
Matt 6154 2051 5
Josh 6046 2015 10
Ryan 5975 1992 12
Davers 5927 1976 6
Sanchez 5458 1819 11
