So the Running Back slightly (eventually) edged out the Tight End as the next domino fell in the Positional rankings. There is quite a bit of range here, with our first-place team finishing with MORE than double the RB points as our last-place team.
In that coveted 12-spot is the (now retired?) BE A MAN HOGAN, who was able to muster only 1917 points this year from his backs, which might explain why having the best WR corps in the league didn’t carry him further. For the year, John got only 73 points a game from each of his RB spots. That’s pretty abysmal. In contrast, our 2nd best RB team – led by GM/Coach Kaiser – averaged 160 points per RB spot. HOGAN’s assembly line of backs included Marlon Mack, Mark Ingraham, James White, Joshua Kelly, Timothy McLeod, A Baby with a Knife, Jeff Wilson Jr., James Bond Jr., Damien Harris, Justin Jackson, Chase Edmonds, Duke Johnson, Landon Alley, Nyheim Hines, and JK Dobbins. Got pretty ugly there.
So who was the big winner then? If Kaiser finished with the silver averaging 160 points per spot, who was better than that? Who had a better tandem than Mark’s Davlin Cook/Miles Sanders combo? Well, Mark’s nemesis of course, The Commish!
Chris’ RB committee, lead primarily by Alvin Kamara (who was drafted 8th, making seven of us look stupid), Aaron Jones, and Jamaal Williams averaged 178 points a week at EACH RB spot. That’s pretty damn good. He even started David Montgomery a few times just to drag the average down some.
Here are the standings;
