After near two weeks of licking my wounds, a time which saw the Mallrats upset not just by The Tim Bradys, but also by QAnon for the second post-season in a row. I hate everyone and everything.
So John beat me and then lost to Steve who was coming off of a BYE. Kyle advanced past the reigning Champ in Kaiser, and then also knocked out first seed overall Jon Jones. I may examine what went right or wrong in those games at some point, but for now, we’re going to look ahead.
Kyle and Steve are facing off this weekend for the Championship, and current projections have Tom Brady murdering the Lions defense today and taking the title game. This would be a general embarrassment for most of us if Kyle – who has no ties to SC – wins the SC League over the 2001 grad and “Class Clown” award winner Stephen Sanchez. Should Steve come back and win, it will be his 2nd title in five years.
The early game saw Quasars take a blow as rookie WR, and potential NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Justin Jefferson come in under projection.
Both squads have plus matchups at the QB spot, but Brady v Detroit is probably the more confident start than Watson v Cincy.
The Quasars are likely gonna need big games from their Kicker and Defense to pull this one out.
Other Notes from Around the League
- Trigger’s Week 15 victory over C Tan has been STAT CORRECTED into a one-point loss. That means it’s now Chris instead of the Dutchmen facing Dave’s Nacho Team for the Toilet Bowl Champ.
- Jones picked up Mitchell Trubisky off of Free Agency to start against John’s squad for the 3rd Place game.
Final Standings will now look something like this…
- Steve/Kyle
- Steve/Kyle
- Jon/John
- Jon/John
