Coaching Errors Thru Week 8: The Dutchmen Edition (Updated)

Updated 11/5/20 – Updated to reflect the stat correction from this morning.

I usually wouldn’t have done this till after Week 9, but I thought I’d get it out there for Trigger. He had a big week at QB, so after eight games, here’s where we stand…

For those who don’t remember how it works, (or who didn’t read the Week 6 Update) we are looking just at lineup decisions – not GM Roster moves or anything like that. The lower your score the better. Here’s the formula…

  • 1 Point: Lineup call that cost you 50-99 points
  • 2 Points: Lineup call that cost you 100-199 points
  • 3 Points: Lineup call that cost you 200-299 points
  • 4 Points: Lineup call that cost you 300 or more points
  • 13 Points: When a single Lineup call cost you the game

Here are the current stats…

RANK PREV. COACH LOSS POINTS 50-99 100-199 200-299 300+ TOTAL MISTAKES
1 1 Chris 0 7 5 1 0 0 6
2 2 Kyle 0 10 2 4 0 0 6
3 3 Matt 0 11 2 0 3 0 5
4 4 Jones 0 12 2 5 0 0 7
5 5 Kronner 0 13 3 5 0 0 8
6 7 Jason 0 17 3 4 2 0 9
7 8 Dave 0 17 6 4 1 0 11
8 6 Trigger 0 18 7 4 1 0 12
9 9 Kaiser 0 19 4 6 1 0 11
10 10 John 1 24 3 4 0 0 8
11 11 Tim 1 28 6 3 1 0 11
12 12 Steve 1 30 5 6 0 0 12

OBSERVATIONS…

  • The Flying Dutchmen almost cost themselves a game when they chose to pick up Carson Wentz off waivers and start him over Matt Stafford, a difference of 246 points.
  • The Dutchmen also had the highest number of errors this week with 3.
  • The biggest drop this week was from The Tim Bradys, whose decision to start Buckner over JPP in the D spot cost them 180 and the game.
  • Despite currently being in 10th place with a 3-5 record, SECOND DECK has the fewest number of coaching errors so far this season.
  • After 3 errors in each of their first 3 games, Nacho Team now has a total of only 1 error over their last 4 games. Best of any team in that stretch.
  • The Quasars held off TIMMO! for the “Most Errors” Crown, as they both added 2 this week, keeping pace. But the Dutchmen came flying down the ladder and are now tied at 12 with Sanchez. Just gotta try harder McLeod…

This will probably be the last time I update this till the playoffs, but I can say that Week 7 had the lowest number of errors to this point in the season, with only 7.
