This week isn’t as intriguing as most in terms of pure matchups, but at the half-way point of the year, there could be some real playoff implications. Here are three scores to keep an eye on…
C Tan vs. the World V Sc4_Skippers
Just as it was in Week 3 when we did a similar post, the first, and maybe the most important game to look at involves C Tan again. Still in first place, but coming off his only loss of the year, this 1v5 matchup is more interesting than the standings would suggest. C Tan faces the Skippers in Week 7, and despite being 4 spots apart in the standings, they are separated by only one game.

If Chris pulls off the Win, he’ll be 6-1, and still, maintain his first-place rank. Furthermore, should the post-TNF projections hold, not only will C Tan win, but Jones could potentially plummet in the standings. At 4-3, and with a lower point total (currently 9th in scoring, with the 3rd easiest schedule), there is the very real possibility that he could slide to 7th and out of the current playoff qualifiers at the half-way point.
The Skippers have Top 10 projected guys at every offensive position aside from QB this week, and should Jones pull out a win, it shakes things up at the top. Kyle is projected to beat SECOND DECK this week, and should that come to pass, The Tim Bradys would be in first place at 6-1, leaving both Chris and Jon (and maybe Kronner and Tim as well) at 5-2 creating quite the logjam at the top.

If Kyle, Jones, Kronner, and Tim all win this week, and the other matchups went the way of the projections, the standings would likely look something like this…
- Kyle (6-1)
- Chris (5-2)
- Kronner (5-2)
- Tim (5-2)
- Jones (5-2)
- John (3-4)
- Steve (3-4)
- Trigger (3-4)
- Matt (2-5)
- Kaiser (2-5)
- Jason (2-5)
- Dave (1-6)
This would start to really shape the impending playoff race. With only 6 teams qualifying, it would have Trigger, Matt, Kaiser, Jason, and the Sanchez boys would all be within one game and fighting for one spot. That said, Kronner, Tim, and Jones have had the weakest schedules to this point, so any of those teams could come crashing down at any time.

Predicted Dud – JuJu (C TAN)
The Tim Bradys V SECOND DECK
Another game that could throw a monkey wrench into the standings is Kyle and Matt, the 2v8 matchup. Based on projections, this is actually a much likelier upset to pan out than Jon’s “30 and Up Club” beating Tan, who gets Russell Wilson back this week for a SNF showdown with the Cards.

What has been a rough start to the season for Matt, looks brighter in Week 7. He has Mahomes in a division game, three Top 20 wideouts, and three of the top 15 LBs for Week 7. That matches up pretty favorably against Kyle’s team, who looks solid this week, but isn’t likely to explode. So, if this were to happen, and all the other projections play out as currently posted – here’s what things would look like;
- Chris (6-1)
- Kyle (5-2)
- Kronner (5-2)
- Tim (4-3)
- Jones (4-3)
- John (3-4)
- Steve (3-4)
- Trigger (3-4)
- Matt (3-4)
- Kaiser (3-4)
- Jason (2-5)
- Dave (1-6)
That would leave 5 teams at (3-4) and a much muckier playoff picture, with things more wide open.
Predicted Stud – R. Smith (The Tim Bradys)
Predicted Dud – P. Lindsay (SECOND DECK)
TIMMO! V QAnon
In what projects to be the lowest-scoring outing of the year, is the most Kaiser thing that could happen. QAnon has been devastated by injuries, and while Dak is done for the year, some of these other guys are gonna be back soon. And knowing what we know about Kaiser’s history in this league, he’s always been a late-season stunner. During his two championship runs, he had a combined regular-season record of 13-13. In 2012, he snuck into the old 8-Team format with a 6-7 record and then went on a run, knocking out Tim, Chris, and Jones to take his first title. Then in 2019, after going 7-6 in the regular season, he knocked off Trigger, Matt, and Kronner, again winning a title as the lowest seed in the tourney. If Kaiser can hold on here till his team gets healthy, he could sneak in again break some more hearts.

As for his matchup this week, Tim doesn’t look like he’s gonna put up a huge fight, as he has the lowest projection for the week at only 1693 (1637 pre-TNF).

Predicted Dud – B. Aiyuk (TIMMO!) [Not sure he can do less than Freeman though…]
