Not even Week 7, and we already have more completed trades – 12 – than we had all of last year. In fact, it’s already the most trades we’ve had in a season since 2011 when we had a total of 12 for the whole year. It would seem the new trade rules are working. Now a true evaluation of these trades likely can’t be made until the season is over, but I thought we’d take an early look at things and see how it’s going so far.
September 18th, The LA Swap

SECOND DECK gets;
Malcolm Brown LAR – RB
Sc4_Skippers get;
Keenan Allen LAC – WR
During Week 1 the Skippers left undrafted Malcolm Brown and his 225 points on the bench. By Week 2, the disgruntled Brown forced a trade to SECOND DECK and earned a starting position. In exchange, the Skippers got veteran wideout, Keenan Allen, in the swap, as he was coming off a disappointing 57 point week 1 dud.
Since the trade, Allen has averaged 139 points a week in 4 games for the Skip. Brown on the other had has been less productive. The LA Rams backfield is crowded, and in 5 games for SECOND DECK, Brown is only mustering 43 points a week.
Week 7 Headline: A Skippers Swindle in a Swap of LA Weapons

September 26th, Nacho Reciever

Nacho Team gets;
John Brown BUF – WR
AJ Johnson DEN – LB
Tracy Walker DET – S
Red Bank Mallrats gets;
Dionte Johnson PIT – WR
Following Week 2, the Mallrats might have panicked here and overpaid for Dionte Johnson. John Brown averaged 166 points in the first 2 weeks, and but Red Bank just couldn’t ignore the 23 targets the Pittsburgh Sophomore got in that span. So packaging Brown, along with the Lions’ safety Walker and Broncos LB AJ Johnson, the Rats paid a high price for potential over production.
In the four weeks since the trade, Dionte has not exactly been an asset for the Mallrats. His numbers are as follows;
Week 3 – 9 Points (left game with Concussion) [Corey Davis had 94 on the Bench]
Week 4 – COVID POSTPONEMENT
Week 5 – 3 Points (left game with Back Injury) [Shenault had 114 on the Bench]
Week 6 – DNP (Back)
Week 7 – Spontaneous Combustion?
As for Nacho Team, they just got their first win of the year in Week 6, and none of the 3 players from the trade contributed in any way. AJ Johnson had 150 points but was on the bench. Tracy Walker was cut on Oct. 11, then subsequently picked up by C Tan and traded back to the Mallrats. And John Brown – well, he was traded to the Skippers for TY Hilton’s corpse.
Nacho Team drops;
Nathan Gerry PHI – LB
Jared Goff LAR – QB
As for the drops, Nacho dumped Goff, who was picked up by The Tim Bradys, and while he’s had a couple good games, he’s been to inconsistent to rely on. Nacho Team also dropped LB Nathan Gerry, who was then picked up by the Mallrats, and then dropped 5 hours later. HOGAN then held Gerry for 2 weeks before also dropping him, and he is currently on the Murphy squad. Gerry has actually been pretty consistent all year, averaging 140 a game from the LB spot, making him the most reliable player in this whole transaction.
Week 7 Headline: Mallrats Overpaid for Oft-Injured Liability
Winners So Far: Nacho Team and Murphys Inn-ies
September 29th, The IR Replacements

TIMMO! gets;
Davonte Freeman NYG – RB
Michael Pittman Jr. IND – WR
Red Bank Mallrats gets;
Damario Davis NO – LB
After a Stat Correction loss in Week 1 (despite a Week 2 win), the Mallrats were scrambling to reshape their team. And shortly after completing their trade with Nacho Team, they traded rookie wideout, who was slated to step into the starting role for Indy, and the NY Giants’ new starter Davonte Freeman to Timmo in an attempt to shore up the LB corps. Enter Damario Davis, who helped QAnon to defeat the Mallrats in the championship last year.
Since the trade, Davis has been his usual steady producer, averaging 136 a game, but not yet delivering a breakout. Timmo’s results have been more varied so far. Pittman went on the IR shortly after the trade, and while his first game with the Giants was a throwaway, Freeman has averaged 99 points a week since. Not spectacular, and certainly not the production that Mr. McLeod was expecting from the Giants ground game this year, but it’s not nothing either.
TIMMO! drops;
Brandon Aiyuk
Aiyuk, who totaled only 31 points through the first two weeks, came back strong in Week 3 with 176 points, at which point the TIMMO!s re-signed the 49er wideout, and since rejoining he’s averaged 95 points a game.
Week 7 Headline: Camo Armsleves and IR Replacements
Winner So Far: Red Bank Mallrats
September 29th, 1 Lion = 3 Saints

The Quasars gets;
Malcolm Jenkins NO – S
Jared Cook NO – TE
Red Bank Mallrats gets;
TJ Hockenson DET – TE
Just three days after their trades with Nacho Team and Timmo, the Mallrats moved a couple more players, this time sending two Saints to The Quasars for Lions’ TE Hock.
Since the trade, Hock has started 2 games for the Mallrats (with a BYE sandwiched in there), averaging 90 points at the TE spot. The Quasars held Cook for only 12 hours before cutting him, as he missed the game against Detroit. His next game he put up a solid 152 against the Chargers and was recently signed by BE A MAN HOGAN. Jenkins, who is averaging 140 a game, was also cut by The Quasars ahead of his BYE week, and is currently a Free Agent.
The Quasars drop;
Tre’Quan Smith NO – WR
The 3rd Saint involved was cut to make room for the trade to happen, that was Tre’Quan Smith, who went out the next week and hung 174 points on the Lions. This prompted a signing by Murphy, who was rewarded with an 18 point effort before cutting Smith the next week.
Week 7 Headline: The Quasars Wage War on The Saints
Winner So Far: Red Bank Mallrats
October 7th, The Blockbuster

Sc4_Skippers gets;
Teddy Bridgewater CAR – QB
Todd Gurley ATL – RB
Nacho Team gets;
Aaron Rodgers GB – QB
Nacho Team was 0-4 when it made the move to bring in Rodgers, who looked 10 years younger through the first month of the season. The GB signal-caller was averaging over 400 a game and looked to be the answer the Drew Brees’ weak arm and inconsistent play. On the other side the Skippers, looking to make their team younger, coveted a 26-year-old RB with the knees of a man twice that age.
Following the trade, Aaron Rogers was on a BYE, so Brees got another start – and had his best game of the year, with 371 points against the Chargers. Then he went on BYE and it was time for Rodgers to start…and put up only 104 points in a loss to Tampa Bay. Ironically, despite Rodgers taking a dump on the field, Nacho got it first Win of the year and crawled out of the cellar. On the other side, Gurley went from 119 a game for Dave, to 151 a game for Jones. Bridgewater played well in Week 5, and stunk it up in Week 6, but the Skippers only played him for the good game.
Sc4_Skippers drop;
Chase Edmonds ARI – RB
Edmonds was picked up by the Quasars, where he sat the bench with games of 167 and 34.
Week 7 Headline: Over 60 Years of Knee Damage
Winner So Far: Sc4_Skippers
October 11th, Fucked By the Lions

Nacho Team gets;
Joe Schobert JAC – LB
Flying Dutchmen get;
Latavius Murray NO – RB
A simple one-for-one swap ahead of Week 5 comes back to bite Trigger in Week 6. No doubt fooled by the Lions’ defense making Murray look ‘All-World’ in their matchup, Trigger sends a proven FF commodity in Joe Schobert to Dave for the Saints RB.
Since the trade, Murray followed up his Week 4 total of 188 points, with a 67 point dud in Week 5, and then went on BYE. Schobert started slow, putting up his worst showing of the season in Week 5, but came back strong in the revenge game week 6, when he hung 250 on Trigger’s Dutchmen and handed Nacho Team there first win of the year.
Week 7 Headline: Matt Patricia Strikes Again!
Winner So Far: Nacho Team
And the New Stuff…
We have a flurry of trades over the last week or so, and it’s probably too early to really look at them yet, but keep an eye moving forward…
- Mallrats send K. Murray (LAC – LB) to C Tan for T. Walker (DET – S)
- Murphy sends S. Diggs (BUF – WR) to Nacho for D. Waller (LVS – TE) and J. Edelman (NE – WR)
- Skippers send TY Hilton (IND – WR) to Nacho for J. Brown (BUF – WR)
