Week 3 Recap: The Tansuche Steamroller of Death

So this week, Chris posted the highest single-game total (3003) since 2014, when Kaiser dropped 3157 in the era of inflated scoring. Pretty impressive stuff. Looks like this Russell Wilson kid might be good…

Let’s check in on the Murphy’s Inn-ines fanbase for their reaction;

Yep. That was ugly.

The other “Matchups to Watch” that I highlighted last week were the 2-3 Game between Trigger and John, and the 11-12 game featuring The Tim Brady’s and whatever it is that Dave is trotting out there each week. What’s most surprising isn’t that Dave is now 0-3, but that had he been playing HOGAN instead of The Tim Brady’s, he wouldn’t be. While the 11-12 matchup saw a respectable game that resulted in both teams cracking the 2000 mark, the 2-3 match was a bit of a letdown. HOGAN put more effort into Mr. Nanny than he did this game. The Dutchmen put up a solid 2300+, good for third-best in the league this week, but perhaps they should have banked some of it since they only needed 1630 to secure the victory (barring anymore Thursday morning Stat Corrections that is).

Kyle’s win catapults him from 11th all the way up to 6th, while John Sanchez will plummet from 3rd place down to the 11 spot. Other big movers this week were Kronner and Jones, who both jumped up 4 spots in the standings. Additionally, TIM! dropped 3 positions to settle into the number 8 seed, proving Jones to be Jinx-Proof.

The closest matchup of the week was between Matt and Kronner, which currently sits at 2246-2230 in favor of the Mallrats. Kronner was up nearly 800 points heading into MNF with his kicker going aginst Matt’s Kicker and Mahomes. Not even 800 point leads are safe with some of the QB play this season.

“I threw a TD to my fucking lineman. This game is easy.”

In addition to the wins and losses, week three saw a couple of trades involving the Mallrats of Redbank. First, in a swap with Dave’s Dumpster-Fire, Kronner acquired Pittsburgh wideout Dionte Johnson in exchange for Bills wideout John Brown, Lions safety Tracy Walker, and Denver ILB AJ Johnson. So how did that work out? Dionte Johnson got only 9 points before his concussion forced him out of the game, while Brown put up a goose-egg in the Bills win over the Rams with a calf injury. AJ Johnson put in his first bad game of the year with only 50 points after going for 200 and 140 in the first two weeks. And Matt Patrica pulled his head out of his ass and put Walker back in at starting safety, which helped Dave out to the tune of 220 points.

The other trade, which saw Kronner send DeVonte Freeman and Colts rookie Michael Pittman to McLeod for LB Demario Davis benefited the Mallrats this first week. Davis put up a solid 170 points, while Freeman and Pittman are still working their ways into the game as injury replacements for Barkley and Parris Campbell. Probably won’t be able to judge this trade for a few weeks yet.

The other game of the week, which I haven’t mentioned was QAnon putting up an intimidating 2500 points and jumping up into 2nd place at the expense of The Quasars. That Prescott kid is really making Mark’s lifelong Cowboys fandom worthwhile huh? It would seem that bringing back both Dak, and Tyler Lockett from the 2019 title team was a good idea. Sanchez’s Quasars, however, suffered another defeat despite a not-terrible 2000+ point day and 215 points from Nick Chubb.

Chris’ dick after week three. Be careful Jess…
