Best Draft of 2019 – Final

In what has to be a first, I’m declaring the Trigger bested us all on Draft Night, despite not having any flashy numbers. He had the ‘Best Pick of the Round’ only once (Round 19) – and that was with some tough competition from Tim and John, and while he finished 2nd in Offensive Drafting, he didn’t place Top 3 for Kicker or Defense – but you don’t need a bunch of home runs to win, just avoid the strikeouts – which he did for the most part.

So, in terms of maximizing draft capital, this is how it turned out;

OFFENSE
1. Kronner
2. Trigger
3. Tan

DEFENSE
1. Kaiser
2. Timmy
3. John

KICKER
1. Matt
2. Timmy
3. John

Manager OFF. Position Points DEF. Position Points KICKER Position Points TOTALS
Trigger 1 -198 -12 -209
Kaiser -58 -168 -4 -230
Kronner 26 -278 N/A -252
John -109 -194 -3 -306
Matt -173 -200 5 -368
Kyle -161 -206 -10 -377
Tim -225 -171 2 -394
Jason -261 -207 -15 -483
Steve -337 -252 -12 -601
Dave -69 -649 -20 -738
Chris -43 -807 -13 -863
Jones -354 -558 -30 -942

Observations…

  • So it would seem that overall, Trigger (1st pick) had the most effective draft, while Jones (12th pick) had the least effective. Not how I saw it panning out, but there it is.
  • Jones had the worst combined draft, yet still took the Regular Season, we’ll see how that happened when we look at the BEST GM stuff.
  • Dave’s Offensive drafting was roughly 10 times better than his defensive…
